The Keepsake Every Guest Didn't Want to Put Down — The Young Angels Gala
Gabrielle's Angels needed a premium experiential moment — something that would keep 500 black-tie guests engaged, entertained, and connected to the evening. Alongside a curated roster of experiential vendors at Crane Club, they brought in Danielle to offer live custom illustration on leather goods throughout the gala.
From 7pm to 11pm, Danielle painted nonstop. Guests approached her station with requests — a monogram, a martini glass, a tennis racket, crescent moons, bow motifs, a Manhattan skyline — and she drew it, live, placing a finished piece in their hands within minutes. Over the course of the evening, she completed 100+ custom passport holders and luggage tags for attendees. No templates. Every piece made in the room, in real time.
No two pieces were the same. Guests brought their own requests — a passion, a personal motif, a signature detail — and Danielle drew it. Hand-lettered monograms in gold. A tennis racket surrounded by colorful gemstone dots. A Manhattan skyline with a golden taxi. Crescent moons scattered across white leather. Bows in copper on mint. Whatever the request, she drew it. That's what makes this different from a pre-made gift: it's made for them, in the moment, in the room.
The line at Danielle's station ran nonstop for all four hours. Guests came back for a second piece. The finished items became the conversation of the room — something guests showed each other, photographed, and took home.
